Hello! Welcome to Asingingtree.

When I was little I had a favorite tree. I could climb into it and stay there for hours. No one could see me. It was my own emerald kingdom, a place where I could go and simply wonder about the world.

Now, this may sound strange, but that is where I met God. I didn’t call God, God, of course. But I felt a force, some kind of great love, some kind of mystery that was teaching me to understand how important it was to listen to the wind in the leaves and how vital was for me to sing. Mostly I sang Amazing Grace because it was the only song I knew. But it was enough.

This site is like that tree, only you get to be here with me. I want you to feel like you have a special place to come to where you can wonder about things and share whatever you are wondering about. I will be sharing some of the things I think about, but I want you to feel free to write to me to discuss the things you are curious about so we can start a conversation.
